Dressage and jumping

The Champion Stallion of the 2002 Holstein licensing proved to be a champion sire right away: With currently more than 450 registered successful sport horses in show jumping and dressage as offspring he is one of only a few sires in breeding today who passes on multi talents which makes him right for just about every pedigree. He consequently passes on his own best traits such as top gaits, rideability and ability to jump.

Chico’s Boy won tests for young riding and dressage horses, was nominated for the Bundeschampionat in the class for riding horses and also did an outstanding job at his 30-day test in Schlieckau. In 2006 he won the 70-day test in Neustadt/Dosse with top scores for rideability (8.88) and ability to jump (9.03).

In 2006 his first son was licensed at the Oldenburg licensing: Premium stallion Cevin Costner, who meanwhile competes successfully in international advanced (S) level show jumping competitions under Josef-Jonas Sprehe; in 2007, a second licensed son named Chat Qiu Rit de L followed. He won the 30-day test in Munich and was successful in championships in Southern Germany. Since then, the number of his licensed sons has grown continually, including Chakiro, Chico’s EGI, Chicos Son, Come and Fight and the significant 2014' Premium Stallion Chico’s Hero.

The German FN's predicted breeding value statistics confirm it: Chico’s Boy is the very best possible kind of multi-talent sire who clearly ranks in the top group of German sires, not only in jumping (128 points) but also in dressage (123 points). In 2014 his eldest offspring were ten-years old and many of them won ribbons in advanced (S) level classes. There also should be a special mention of the internationally successful show jumpers Caro As/Janine Rijkens, who placed first many times in show jumping classes at advanced (S) level, and the successful Grand Prix mare Chica Noble/Jürgen Höfler.
