 Majestic stallion with enormous jumping potential is owned by Arcus Engineering Czech stables. He is a winner of KMK finals in 2010, the best horse in 7 and under, winner of Czech Championship 2013, clean jumping on CSI*** level at European Championship and several others. He was the Horse of the Year in 2013.

 

Cento Lano Arcus was born in Belgium and was imported to the Czech Republic as a 4 year old. His current owner Hana Rechtova bought him as a 5 year old for Arcus Engineering Czech stables. Since the beginning, Ondrej Zvara has been his trainer and rider, taking his career to the current level of 160 cm.

Sire Cento Lano is a Belgian Warmblood, a successful jumper who attended several international shows and won multiple GP. His progeny is very successful as well.

Paternal sire of Cento Lano Arcus is the legendary stallion Dobel’s Cento. This famous horse was started by Otto Becker and together they gathered multiple wins. Among their best results are team gold from the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, where they also won 4th place in Individuals. Also winner of the World Cup in Leipsic in 2002, team bronze at the European Championship in 2001, team gold at the European Championship in 2003, team bronze at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. He has won over 1 million euro and today more than hundred of his offspring successfully show at 150 cm level.

Maternal sire Eoghan du Mervaux, a sorrel Selle Francais stallion, was born in France and sold to a show stable in Belgium. Unfortunately, before he started his show career he died at the age of 4. 

Cento Lano Arcus started his show career successfully placing 3rd in the KMK Finals for 5 year old stallions in 2009.

In 2010, he won the same event with the best score and no faults. Since 2011 he has been shown at CSI events and regularly takes the top places in his category. In MSMK Finals for 7 and 8 year old horses he took 3rd place and finished the season competing at the World Cup in Lanaken, Belgium. He also took the Best Horse title in 7 and under category. 

In 2012, he placed 2nd at GP CSI* in Zduchovice, took 7th place at Medium Tour CSI** in Pezinok, 5th place at MSMK Finals for 7 and 8 year old horses, 8th place at CSI*** at 145 cm level in San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy.

In 2013, Cento competed at 150 cm level for the first time at CSI*** Magna Racino Spring Tour. He proved his qualities in Ptyrov, Czech Republic at the Czech Championship, where he won the Senior class. At the European Championship in Herning, Denmark, he competed at CSI*** 145 and 150 cm level and rode twice clean and once with one fault. He also succeeded at CSI*** in Sint Katelijne - Waver, Belgium taking 3rd place in 145 cm level. He took the same place at CSI** in Wiener Neustadt in 145 cm level. Cento was named the Horse of the Year in Jumping in the Czech Republic in 2013.

2014 started with 3rd place in GP San Giovanni in Marignano at CSI***. This year Cento started competing at 160 cm level for the first time. At CSIO in Linz, Austria, Cento was a part of the Czech team and qualified for the WEG in Normandy, France. He ended up taking 77th place. At the end of the season, Cento competed at CSI***** Vienna Masters in the Global Champions Tour 2014, where he took 8th place in 145 cm level.

In 2015, Cento competed only two times in the Czech Republic. First time at Jan Papousek Memorial, where he took 6th place and second time at Czech Championship in Martinice taking 4th place. Other than that, Cento competed internationally. As a member of the Czech team, Cento competed at several events including the World Cup, European Championship, and qualification for the Olympics in Rio in 2016. This year, Cento competed mostly in 160 cm level. The duo gathered several wins and top placings all over Europe finishing the season with the World Cup in Barcelona, Spain.

Cento Lano Arcus is known for his strong approach, great body work and attention during jumping. He’s very intelligent, temperamental, sensitive, and easy to ride. He’s a stallion who commands attention and all jumping fans should not miss the opportunity to watch him jump.
